 Boris RED
Integrated 3D Compositing, Titling, and Effects, plus Standalone
RED Engine
RED includes a plug-in and
standalone rendering application that combines all of the effects and
filters of Boris FX Professional and all of the 2D/3D title animation of
GRAFFITI in one user interface, and adds much more, including vector
paint, motion tracking, time remapping, rotoscoping, and 3D extrusion of
Illustrator files and other vector objects, including text.
RED-Specific Feature Highlights:
- Vector Paint allows you to
fully animate spline objects with multiple strokes and fill. Save
favorite brushes.
- Custom Vector Masks allow you
to create unlimited masks per layer, using a complete set of vector
tools.
- Import/Animate/Extrude EPS and
Adobe Illustrator files with layers. Edit and animate stroke, fill,
and bézier control points. Extrude any or all layers.
- Advanced 3D Rendering/Intersecting
Objects let extruded objects interact and intersect in three
dimensions, with full scene lighting, reflection maps, procedural
textures, and multiple cameras.
- Time Filters include a Velocity
Remap filter for smoothly ramping clip speed and a Temporal Blur for
sampling multiple frames across time.
- Motion Tracking Filter easily
integrates with other Boris filters such as Mosaic (for example,
track a blur over someone's face or a logo).
- Particle System Filter creates
true 3D particles, which animate in 3D space with full interactivity
and gravity. Use any Boris composition or imported file to create
custom particle shapes.
- Import Photoshop and Illustrator
Files, preserving the layers. Photoshop files preserve apply
modes. Illustrator files preserve all bézier points, which can
animate at any time, even after the file is extruded. Individual
layers may be combined with other elements.
- The Boris RED Engine allows you
to work standalone and render to any installed video codec,
including the Avid codec, export as Flash or still images. Take
advantage of fast CPUs, including multiple processors.
- Intelligent Assistant for Boris RED
($249 SRP value). Directly accessible from the Help menu
of Boris RED, Intelligent Assistant for Boris RED offers the
equivalent of over 800 pages of text as well as over 2.5 hours of
narrated video to take you into as much or as little detail as you
need, for any kind of task you might want to perform in Boris RED.
- Five free filters from DigiEffects
Delirium. Boris RED has always offered support for
third-party After Effects filters. Includes 5
filters from the award-winning DigiEffects Delirium: DE Bubbles, DE
Day for Night, DE Electric Arcs, DE Fireworks, and DE Fog Factory.
Accessible from the Boris RED Filters menu, these fully functioning
plug-ins are ready to use in your RED compositions.
