International Orders

Before You Order, Please Read This:

We want your business no matter where in the world you might be!   DV Wizards welcomes international orders,  orders shipping to addresses in possessions and territories of the U.S., as well as orders shipping to APO and FPO addresses.

Orders shipping outside the US are subject to higher shipping rates and applicable customs, duties and taxes, all of which are the responsibility of the customer.  Please be aware that if you place an order, these shipping charges and customs charges are non-refundable in the event that your package is returned to us as undelivered. Once an order leaves our warehouse, you are responsible for shipping as well as duties and taxes. For an idea of how much these costs might be you can check here:

Unless otherwise indicated, all our products are U.S. versions only. This means that any external hardware operates on 120V (volts) alternating current, 60 cycles. Software and documentation are in English. Unless otherwise indicated, all video related products are NTSC. Please be aware that some products' warranties do not provide coverage outside the U.S., and some products may not be exported under any circumstances due to manufacturers' restrictions and/or U.S. law, while other products may not be eligible for upgrade and/or manufacturer's warranty. DV Wizards makes no representations regarding warranty coverage, compatibility, upgrades or serviceability for products that are used outside the United States. Defective software is replaced immediately; defective hardware is repaired or replaced at our discretion. 

There are several manufacturers that have decided they would not sell their PAL products through US outlets. These companies include Adobe, Canon, Pinnacle Systems, DPS and Canopus. If you need PAL versions of these products, unfortunately we must refer you to the manufacturers since we are unable to assist you. Digital Origin DV capture cards do work in both PAL and NTSC.

Suggestions for Expediting the Order Process

We realize you probably don’t want to read what might seem like boring, unnecessary text, however….We want to expedite your order as efficiently as possible, so please read this information carefully.

We have been shipping orders outside the US for more than 17 years.   Due to our extensive experience with International shipments these are the things we have found can enable us to ship your order without unnecessary delays.

1. PAYING BY WIRE TRANSFER.  The most efficient way to pay for your order is by wire transfer. We do accept all major credit cards, however, we are very thorough when verifying credit card information. At times it is difficult to verify your address and name with a foreign bank, especially if a language barrier exists. 

If you decide to pay by wire transfer, please do not wire anything until we have given you the total for the order including shipping charges. The web site is unable to estimate International shipping charges, so please do not assume that this is the amount you should send. Also, the bank will charge a fee for a wire transfer. This is in addition to the total you must wire to us. You must wire us the total amount and pay for the wire transfer fee separately or  the bank will take their fee from the amount you sent to us. Then your order will be delayed until we receive the full amount.

If you wish to make a wire transfer, please send us an e-mail and we will send you the information your bank will need to wire the payment to our bank.

2.  PAYING BY CREDIT CARD.  If you want to pay with a credit card, we accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. It is our experience American Express is the easiest card to verify because they have one central office.  When typing in your credit card information, keep in mind that the name and address you give us MUST be the same as the billing address on the card. We verify the name and billing address on every order before it invoices and leaves our warehouse, so if we can’t verify your information your order will not ship until we reach you either by e-mail or phone and get the information we need. We also request that you put your 3-digit credit card identification number from the back of your credit card in the notes section on your order. The credit card identification number is a security code issued with all Visa, AMerican Express and MasterCard cards. It is used as an additional means of protection against fraud and helps us validate your purchase. For your protection, we are very thorough in our credit card verification process. 

3.  ISSUING BANK.  It helps us to more quickly and easily verify your credit card information if you supply us with the phone number to the issuing bank. On the back of your credit card there should be a phone number for the bank that issued the card. Please provide this number in the order comments so we can more easily verify your information.

4.  SHIPPING METHOD.  If you are unsure about the shipping method for your order, let us help you decide.

  1. UPS Express  -  Takes 2 to 3 days to reach customs, depending on the destination. You get the order fast but it is also the most expensive way to ship an order. This option is not available in all areas. If it is not available in your area we will not delay your order, but will ship by the UPS method that is available.
  2. UPS Expedited  - Most shipments to Canada and Mexico are delivered within three business days. Most shipments to major destinations in Europe and Asia are delivered to customs within four or five business days. This option is not available in all areas. If it is not available in your area we will not delay your order, but will ship by the UPS method that is available.
  3. Federal Express is available if you can give us your Federal Express Account Number. We do not charge the shipping in this case, you are billed by Federal Express on your account.
  4. We can ship via other carriers, at your request. We have attempted to list the most common and reliable carriers that we ordinarily use for International Shipments.

5.  BILLING ADDRESS VS. SHIPPING ADDRESS.  When you enter your address information keep this in mind: we will not be able to ship to any address other than your credit card billing address for international orders. For this reason, our online ordering system will not permit our international customers to enter an alternate shipping address. We do this for the protection of you, our customer. 

6.  CONTACT.  We will contact you with the your order information as quickly as possible. Our business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Standard Time. Please make sure your information is accurate in order that we may expedite your order as quickly and efficiently as possible.
